Reasons to practice with Maha Devi: Move your body! Relax your mind! Connect with your breath! And giggle over her corny jokes!

Alison Maha Devi Hastings is a certified yoga instructor with over a decade of teaching experience. She is a senior teacher at Kashi Atlanta where she helps run the 200-hour yoga Teacher Training Program. She blends her sense of humor, encouraging warmth, passion for alignment, love of yoga philosophy, and creative sequencing to deliver an intimate, spirited and lighthearted practice for each student. She loves to talk about Outer Space and her cats.

She believes deep and meaningful alignment is the key to longevity of Practice and that Practice is for ALL BODIES. She teaches how to develop and maintain a balance between strength and agility, movement and stillness, discipline and play.

Maha Devi met her Guru, Ma Jaya in 2007. She graduated from Kashi Atlanta's 200-Hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training in 2008 where she continues to study with her Teacher Swami Jaya Devi Bhagavati. In 2017 she received a second 200-hour certification in yogaHOUR, a technology of yoga created by her Teacher, Darren Rhodes, with whom she continues to study extensively.

She has taught yoga & meditation all over Atlanta, at cool places like The Georgia Aquarium, Dad’s Garage Theatre, Fleet Services (City of Atlanta), Dekalb County Jail, The Giving Kitchen, Cushman & Wakefield, and OxBlue Corporation. Maha Devi is a sober yoga practitioner.
