Tabitha Childers

RYT 200

Tabitha has developed herself as a yoga practitioner through a personal 10-year wellness journey that culminated in completing her first 200-hour Trauma-Informed yoga teacher training in 2022 with Waking Yoga in Austin, TX - a program with a special emphasis on community-focused yoga programs, nervous system regulation, and teaching yoga that is inclusive of all people and adaptive to all bodies. She is especially interested in embodied movement practices such as yoga, waist hula hooping, and dance as vehicles for personal transformation, wellness, and freedom. Her work draws from a variety of modalities including yoga, pranic healing, Emotional Freedom Technique, therapeutic touch, and mind-body medicine. Her classes are accessible, fun, playful, creative, and integrative.

Professionally, Tabitha is a Nurse Practitioner and has primarily worked in Atlanta’s Emergency and Trauma Surgery departments since 2005. She presently works in Orthopedics. She is gifted at helping her clients learn very simple techniques to reduce the impact that stress has on their life and health. Her mission is simple: to bring actionable wellness programs to the people and local communities where they are needed the most. She has come to believe that hope, possibility, and play are some of the most powerful medicines available. Tabitha has two grown children who also live in the greater Atlanta area. For fun, you will often find her at a live music venue, teaching yoga, hula hooping, dancing, stand-up paddle boarding, cooking, gardening, or checking out local farmer’s markets.
