Frani Shakti Green

RYT 200

Frani (Shakti) Green is a lifelong student of Yoga. She began meditating on the beach in her teens and then found yoga in 1985. For the first 8 years of her practice, she was a serious student, going to many different classes seeking a path of spirit, community and health.
In 1993, Shakti felt the calling, deeply, to teach yoga. Her studies include many different styles of yoga, including classical Hatha , Kundalini, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Kripalu, Restorative, Yin, and yoga for children. In 2003, after teaching for 10 years, Shakti thought it would be a good idea to get certified, and has received several certifications including Classical Yoga 200-hour level 1 through Kashi Atlanta's 200-Hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training.

Shakti (divine feminine creativity) was gifted this name by Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati, one of her master teachers in the Lineage of Kashi Florida, because of her power within and the energy that she gives to her students and in her life.

Shakti's background in theater and dance is evident in her style of teaching. From beginners to advanced, her classes are designed to take students on an inward journey to their own destination of relaxation, tranquility and inner strength.

She teaches gently, yet will guide you through to your strongest edge. Shakti was told by one of her teachers that the way she teaches her classes is with a velvet hammer: soft, but with power.

Shakti is an organic teacher who teaches all levels. She will tune into the energy of the students that are present, and from there, the class unfolds into magic. This comes from what she sees and feels from the students, so each class is unique. Shakti looks forward to practicing with you.
