Veena believes that yoga should be accessible to everyone, and strives to teach in alignment with this belief. She took her first yoga class in 2009 while looking for relief from a lifelong struggle with anxiety. Since then, she has continuously studied yoga and meditation. After attending the Living Yoga Training program at the Satchidananda Ashram in Virginia, she completed Kashi Atlanta's 200-Hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training in 2011. In 2016, she became yogaHOUR certified, and completed her 300-hour training in 2018. Veena has taught at Kashi Atlanta and other Atlanta area locations since 2012. Additionally, she has been an instructor and mentor for Kashi Atlanta's 200-Hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training since 2019.

Veena credits yoga with giving her the tools and strength she needs for her day job as an educator and Special Education teacher. She aims to teach yoga in a way that is simultaneously soft and strong, weaving together clear alignment and yogic philosophy for a grounded and accessible class.
