Practices for the Pandemic: 14 Days of Healing

Day 14: Sankalpa Self-Inquiry Journal

Self-inquiry is a useful tool for unpacking our thinking and behaviors. We can open deeply to ourselves and become the witness to our internal stories, fears and dreams. Today’s practice asks you to spend some time reflecting on and repsonding to the query: “Who would I be without my _________ (fear, anxiety, anger, unworthiness)?” Write your answer. Somuch of your power lies in your freedom from the patterns that have bound you to the past. This practice helps unbind you. The second self-inquiry has to do with sacred intention or sankalpa. Ask “What is my deeper purpose? Can I ask the sacred force of love to show me?”

    Namaste Swami,
This was the most challenging of the 14 day practices for me. I’m now looking at where it is that I am not feeling, how I keep myself “busy” so I don’t have to confront what’s in there.

Thank you for all you have given us these 14 days. I have enjoyed these practices and will continue to do so.
