Have you recently given birth? Did you have children several years ago but still have weak core muscles?
In this workshop tailored specifically for people who have given birth, we will look at how the Pilates method can help address common by-products of pregnancy including diastitis recti, weakened abdominals and decreased pelvic floor function.
You will learn safe and effective ways to strengthen the deep abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, how to heal diastitis recti and bring stability back to the pelvis and, finally, how to support and nurture the body after all the physical changes brought on by pregnancy, childbirth and the demands of caring for babies and young children. You will leave the workshop with some simple, safe, modified Pilates exercises to practice at home.
This workshop is specifically designed for postpartum (not currently pregnant) moms — even moms who are 5 – 10 years postpartum! Partners are welcome to attend at no additional cost.
