Four Week Series · September 6 – 27
Learn traditional mindfulness, meditation and breath techniques that have been shown to help lower stress and anxiety, boost immunity and aid in improving mental function. These ancient practices help you learn to go more deeply within and attune to the pulse of the universe within you, which mirrors the universe outside of us. In this series, you will experience meditations that will feature yogic breaths (pranayamas) and sacred sounds (mantras), as well as hand and finger positions (mudras) that activate the limbic system and different nerve and energy centers to awaken your experience of deep connection to all that Is. Explore what it is to re-connect to ourselves and all beings authentically, with more compassion and loving-kindness through these practices.
Classes will start with a short sequence of gentle yoga postures to relieve the body of tension, creating ease in the body, so you can sit more comfortably in meditation.
Yoga is comprised of many practices and techniques that bring you back to a state of wholeness. Meditation is yoga for the mind; pranayama is yoga for the heart; asana is yoga for the body. This series is excellent for practitioners of all levels.
