In this Introduction to Pilates workshop tailored to the beginner Pilates student, we will explore the basic principles of Pilates: centering, control, concentration, precision, breath and flow. We will also identify how to properly engage the deep core muscles.
Participants will learn a series of beginner Pilates mat exercises that can be incorporated into a simple yet effective home practice. These exercises can be performed on their own or are an excellent complement to an existing yoga practice or fitness regimen.
This workshop is also appropriate for the intermediate and advanced Pilates student who wants to hone his or her Pilates skills and dive deeper into the Pilates method!
