History of Yoga

Have you ever wondered what the history of yoga really is? Have you questioned if what you hear in your classes is accurate? Would you like to be able to explain the history of your tradition in a sophisticated way? This workshop will take you on a journey through the history of yoga to give students a sophisticated foundation upon which to build their understanding. Participants will leave with a comprehensive reading list and PowerPoint outline with notes from the lesson. All levels of yoga students are welcome; it is a great workshop for yoga teachers and serious yoga students.

Veena is an RYT-500, has a Masters of Arts in Religious Studies, and a Masters of History Education. She is very passionate about the history of yoga, and this workshop is a culmination of more than 10 years of study. Please join her to learn more about the history of a fascinating and complex tradition!
