Hanuman Chalisa Mantra Circle

Sunday, July 8 · 11:00 am — 1:00 pm with Surya Devi (Janina) Edwards

Come and chant the Hanuman Chalisa in the tradition of the Kashi lineage!

The Hanuman Chalisa is an ancient devotional hymn to Hanuman, the Hindu deity who is the embodiment of humility and service. The 40 verses of the Chalisa extol Hanuman’s virtues and adventures. It is said that whoever recites the Hanuman Chalisa one hundred times becomes free from all bondage and enjoys the highest bliss. So, it’s time to start singing!

The workshop will be led by a Kashi Atlanta kirtan wallah in a joyful spiritual music experience with time to talk, ask questions and make mistakes. The Chalisa’s words will be reviewed and practiced, then sung. Time permitting, the Chalisa will be sung several times. You’ll leave with your bhakti heart full and a copy of the words to the Hanuman Chalisa!

No musical, yoga or chanting experience is required. The circle is a safe space to learn.
