Kali Ma Das (Tony Conway) starting practicing Kripalu style yoga in his 20s in NY, but it was when he started in depth studying with Swami Jaya Devi and his Guru Ma Jaya that his love for yoga went off the chart.
He received his 200-hour certification at Kashi Atlanta and is currently in the 500 hour Kali Natha Yoga Teacher Training program. Kali Ma Das has also completed the 108 hour Anusara Immersion and a one-month work-study at Ma’s Kashi Ashram in Sebastian Florida.
Along the yoga way he has studied many styles with many teachers but Kashi is his home. His practice has been deeply gratifying and life changing in every breathtaking way. Kali Ma Das is also a professional Development Director for a local youth nonprofit. He also serves with the Kashi Ashram fundraising team, organizing events like the annual Yogathon, working on construction projects, and being one of “the cooks.” He also loves his Guru, his Swami, his Satsang and his Ashram very, very much.
Kali Ma Das’s classes are a fun and vigorous exploration of level two poses with a focus on forgiveness, opportunity and the inner journey. Each class begins and ends with gratitude. What happens in the middle is whatever you are ready to give to it and whatever you are ready receive from it, as you lead with your heart.
