The Healing Properties of Essential Oils

Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of essential oils to heal the body, mind and spirit and can be used to open, energize, and balance the seven chakras of the energy body. Pure, high-quality essential oils are the best to use to access their healing energies.
Essential oils are liquids that have been distilled from various plants and their parts (leaves, bark, roots, stems, flowers, etc.,). These healing oils contain the essence of the plant from which they were obtained and can be used alone or blended together for special effects. It is important to remember that essential oils are highly concentrated; therefore a little goes a long way.

Some essential oils can be applied directly to the skin (unless you are allergic), but most need to be used with a carrier oil before applying to the skin, and others still should not be applied to the skin at all. Essential oils can be used for inhalation, as a spray, or diffused in a oil burner. It is always important to read about the uses, storage recommendations, and safety of each individual oil before you use it.
